LEANNE YAU | reviews


Leanne is a law student at Somerville College and joined OON in Hilary 2019. As of Trinity 2019 she was appointed co-head, and she maintains the site and runs the Instagram @oxfordopeningnight. Her OUDS theatre credits include the lead roles in the Brasenose Arts Week musical ‘Politically Inept’ (TT19) and the Trinity Lawns Musical ‘Gatsby at Trinity’ (TT19), as well as Lady Nijo in Caryl Churchill’s ‘Top Girls’ (MT18), Young Isabelle in ‘Bandages’ (HT19), Anna in ‘The New Order’ (HT19), and a singer in ‘My Mother Runs in Zig-Zags’ (TT19). She is also an audiobook narrator and voice actor, and project manages for production company The Online Stage, producing works for distribution on Amazon Audible and other platforms.



Alison is a Classics DPhil student at Jesus College and has been editing OON since early 2018 as co-head, and also runs the Facebook page. She is a member of the Oxford Revue, performing sketches in ‘No Market For Old Men’ (HT18), stand-up at multiple Audrey events, and writing for the tour shows. She is also an aspiring cabaret performer, and makes comedy videos for the Classics faculty. You can find her on Twitter at @ali_middleton.

SANDRA XU | reviews


Sandra is a law student at Exeter College and joined OON in Michaelmas 2017. Her OUDS credits include producing the opening gala of the OUDS New Writing Festival (HT18) at Blackwell’s Bookshop, and assistant producing the musical ‘Candide’ (MT17). She is particularly fond of musicals and chamber operas, and enjoys kayaking in her spare time.

She has been reviewing for OON since Michaelmas 2017. Within OUDS, she has performed as Judy in ‘Small Mouth Sounds’ (MT17) and Pope Joan/Mrs. Kidd in ‘Top Girls’ (MT18).

KATIE KNIGHT | reviews

Katie is a classicist at Univ who started reviewing for OON in MT18. Other reviewing credits include The Oxford Student, Edinburgh Fringe Review, The F Word UK, and Miro Magazine. She was theatre editor of the Cherwell for HT and TT19. Acting credits include roles in Under Milk Wood (TT17), The White Devil (TT18), and Amadeus (TT19).
